The Station Restaurant is a busy 110 seat restaurant located in a 1909 Heritage Railway Station. In addition to dining in the Main Station, the restaurant also offers a unique fine dining experience in Vintage Railway Dining Cars adjacent to the building. In the summer, a barbeque menu is served on the deck overlooking the gardens.

 

Lake Louise is a small village located 58 km west of Banff on the TransCanada Highway. As it is a small mountain resort community, many residents enjoy an outdoor lifestyle with hiking, mountain biking and mountaineering. In the winter, our staff enjoy downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing during their time off.

Position: Sous Chef

 

Location: Lake Louise Station Restaurant

 

Job Description: Hot line work, prep work, making soups,stocks and sauces. Must be able to follow recipes and directions to maintain quality control and consistency. The applicant must maintain proper sanitation procedures, cleaning and other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef, ordering, menu development, baking bread, able to cope with busy and detailed environment.Training of junior cooks.

 

Skills/Experience: Education/certification an asset. Fine dining experience is an asset. Must have good organizational skills, and be able to work as part of a team.

 

Wage: depending on experience

Position: Head Baker

 

Location: Laggans Mountain Bakery and Deli

 

Job Description: Baking Various Classic Artisan and Natural breads, pastries, squares and desserts as well as other baked products preferably but not essentially from scratch. Must be able to follow recipes and directions to maintain quality control and consistency. The applicant must maintain proper sanitation procedures, Scheduling, ordering, creativity, flexible work schedule and be able to cope with a busy and detailed environment. Training of junior bakers to create a team environment to see a vision to the future (the big picture and trend setting), maintaining food cost.

Skills/Experience: Baking education/certification or technical training an asset. Must have good organizational skills, be able to work as part of a team, and be able to work productively while unsupervised.

Position: BBQ Cooks

 

Location: Lake Louise Station Restaurant

 

Job Description: BBQ cooking on our patio (weather permitting - inside work will be assigned during bad weather). Must be able to follow recipes and directions to maintain quality control and consistency. The applicant must maintain proper sanitation procedures, cleaning and other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef. This position has direct customer contact, so a clean cut appearance and polite demeanour is required.

 

Skills/Experience: Education/certification an asset. Line cooking experience is required. Must have good organizational skills, and be able to work alone or as part of a team.

 

Wage: $10-11 hour, depending on experience

Position: Cold Line Cooks/ Prep Cooks/Aquatic Technicians

 

Location: Lake Louise Station Restaurant

 

Job Description: Cold line work, prep work. Must be able to follow recipes and directions to maintain quality control and consistency. The applicant must maintain proper sanitation procedures, cleaning and other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef. Day shift cold side is responsible for plating high volume lunch tours, speed is an asset.

 

Skills/Experience: Education/certification an asset Must have good organizational skills, and be able to work as part of a team. Experience is not required, training can be provided.

 

Wage: $10 - $11/ hour, depending on experience

Job Description: Prep work, making soups, stocks and sauces. Create Daily specials As a self starter you Must be able to follow recipes to maintain quality control and consistency. The applicant must maintain proper sanitation procedures, cleaning and other kitchen duties as assigned by the Executive Chef other duties include, food cost, ordering, menu development, training junior cooks, baking bread, pizzas as well as other items coupled with the ability to cope with busy and detailed environment

 

Skills/Experience: Education/certification an asset. Previous and relative experience is necessary Must have good organizational skills, and be able to work as part of a team.
